Shot in 2018 during a family cruise somewhere on the Baltic Sea.

We were lucky with the weather throughout the two-week trip — warm, calm and just perfect for enjoying the moment. I even lost my phone during one of our first stops, which turned out to be a good thing. Without it, I found myself much more present with the people I love.

Taken with a Minolta film camera loaded with colour film, this remains one of my favourite photographs I've ever made.

There is a warmth and calmness in this image that I haven't quite found anywhere else.
